An active climber for more than thirty years, he has pursued rock climbing, ice climbing and mountaineering throughout the US and in Canada, Alaska and South America.  Other activities including mountain biking (including the Leadville Trail 100), backcountry skiing in the US and Canada, desert canyoneering and anything else that offers outdoor fun and challenge.
